History of Gourmet Nuts And Dried Fruit starts with our commencement in East Hanover, NJ. Since, we have been there running our business ever since. It gives me great pride that we are a family owned business. Working alongside my father and mother, as well as, my sister and uncle has been an experience in collaboration and discipline.

Gourmet Nuts and Dried Fruit started to serve local Farmers Markets
We grew into more than just New Jersey farmers markets, expanding into Pennsylvania and New York. We started seeing customers from all different parts of the U.S. during the summer when the tourists come to the East Coast for sightseeing. Our family run company started small, then I brought on friends to help out.
We started in a few outdoors farmers markets in New Jersey, about 5 to start. In our second year, we quickly spread to about 20 different outdoors markets, and our third year about 30, with only our nut & dried fruit products, ending up with about 55 items at the stands. About 80 products stocked in-house altogether. The history Of Gourmet Nuts And Dried Fruit leads up to doing as many as 40 different farmers markets in the summer of 2015. That is each week of the Spring, Summer, and Fall setting up our tables and selling our dried fruits and nuts.
Started in New Jersey by Todd Lieberman and family in September of 2009
As we went into our fourth year of business, we added a pickle line for the outdoors farmer’s markets, suggested by some of our great farmers market managers. Finally, on our 5th year of business, we added olives to the pickle line. By our 5th and 6th year, we ended up participating in about 45 different local town farmers markets in our state. At many of our markets we had two different stands; one with nuts and dried fruits & the other with pickles and olives. It is so hard to be around our delicious products all day and not to grab a bag. Really, it’s nearly impossible. Our varieties consist of raw nuts, roasted nuts, salted or unsalted nuts, dried fruits, trail mixes, nut brittles, and chocolates.
We are one of the largest specialty food vendors at our outdoor farmer’s markets. Gourmet Nuts and Dried Fruits have a reputation for providing healthy nutritious snacks for the local communities. We are a well-respected company today, especially with our outdoor venues.
Our growth since going online…

The History Of Gourmet Nuts And Dried Fruit is found in serving New Jersey restaurants, hotels, and bakeries. We have built up about 3,000 customers within the last six and a half years. They come from all of our outdoor venues such as farmers markets, street fairs, craft shows, and food festivals. Now it is time to build up our wholesale with our energetic family & web team working with our customers quickly and diligently to get the orders out from the warehouse.
Ultimately, we greatly appreciate our loyal customers. We use our blog to educate new customers in the history of the produce business. We do a deep dive into looking at the history of bananas sold in America and the future of the banana industry. Also, we take a look at almond production in California and how we go about getting our favorite nuts to sell.
Our goal is to be the healthy standard in food and to support the great state of New Jersey and the country. Please contact us to ask us any questions that you have about the products listed on the website. Thank You for being a great customer and we greatly appreciate your business!
