About Our Bulk Raw Peanuts

Peanuts are members of the same family of plants as beans and lentils, collectively known as legumes. However, they are colloquially referred to as ‘nuts’. There is some debate about when peanuts were domesticated. But the oldest archaeological remains date to roughly seven thousand five hundred years ago, in South America. Spanish conquistadors traveled across the planet in the Native American marketplaces during their exploration of the region. In the end, they also brought the peanuts with them, back to Europe. (And aren’t we thankful?)

These peanuts are great in many different ways:

✓They’re amazing as a simple snack for when you are craving a savory protein boost;

✓You can also grind them up and form them into peanut butter (they have high oil content);

✓You can also fry or boil them and add them to many different savory dishes. For example, stir fry. Get creative.

Storing our bulk Raw Peanuts is simple. You can either keep them frozen or refrigerated. We do not recommend storing them in your pantry unless you plan to use them within two to four weeks. If you keep them in the fridge, our Raw Peanuts will keep for up to six whole months. If you freeze, they can stay fresh for up to a year.

Bulk Raw Peanuts contain nutritionally significant levels of vitamin including B-6, niacin, and folate (also known as folic acid). They also contain quite a bit of protein for their size. Raw Peanuts are also rich in manganese, magnesium, and phosphorus.
